Lovely service and food, great location. Fully recommended. Toay I enjoyed a Sunday Roast with my wife, I had pork belly and she had chicken. The staff were kind enough to let my wife take home her leftovers.
Came here on the recommendation of my daughter. Had the Leek and Heritage potato soup and the Blade of Beef which was as tender as tender could be. Portions were generous and well presented. Service was attentive but not in your face. Would definitely recommend. Not the cheapest but good value for money.
I come here every year with my Mum for lunch during the Christmas sales. Always lovely service. The food is good. Decent sized portions and well priced.
Lovely waiting staff who made an effort to engage sincerely and give the right level of attentiveness. Good portions of veg served with the food. Nice chilled ambience; great for couples and families, groups or catch-ups. The bar staff were a bit offhand when I told them one of the toilets was blocked and actually the toilets smell NOT GOOD. Cleaning and air freshener required. I can't comment on the seafood as I didn't have fish in the end. I think in places like this it's better to stick to meat or veggie options as seafood is often overcooked. My husband's beef wellington was overcooked and my venison undercooked (although I like my meat rare anyway so it was no biggy for me) so maybe it's always better to make a point to say about how you would like your meat done. Some of the upholstery looks a little tired if I remember correctly but it's a great location by the river meaning you can go for a nice stroll before or after your meal. Plan your car parking beforehand if you're not local.
A lovely atmosphere and great staff. A staff member Daniel who I think was that manager was fantastic. I was a busy Saturday night and we didn't get serviced for about 10 minutes, he made sure that we had 20% and was very polite. Included with a lovely pianist in the back ground and fair prices I was very happy.
