This place is amazing! Easily the best restaurant I've eaten at in Kingston, and attached to a great whiskey bar with a live music venue out the back. A friendly, laid back venue with a great atmosphere. In the restaurant they smoke their own meats, and they taste incredible, the brisket is melty and the Mac cheese even meltier.Service is friendly, and not necessarily quick but that's okay as this isn't a place you go to rush through a meal. They are more concerned with letting people enjoy an evening here than turning tables.I would recommend the restaurant to everybody, but especially anyone who knows and loves that "relaxed, musician's bar" vibe where you'd probably leave your purse on a table during the open mic and think nothing of it. I love those places, where it feels more like being at a friend's place.
A smile and a warm welcome would be nice. A little bit of guidance on the menu would be helpful to a newbie. But the choice of drinks and food was great
Grest atmosphere, open plan layout and really good barbecue food. Menu may seem a little limited for some but I see that as a plus as they were super efficient on everything ordered. Monday rib fest is an absolute bargain!
It's a nice pub with a good range of drinks. There is a heated smoking area. I've not eaten here but work colleagues tell me the food is very good.
We went to the Smoke House for a birthday celebration. We were only told about having a limited time for the table when we got here. We were then reminded about 10 times throughout the meal that we had limited time to finish even though we weren't close to our time limit! Very unnerving when you're trying to relax and celebrate. Especially irritating because there were empty tables in the restaurant elsewhere.
