I needed to fix a door which wasnt opening from outside. I paid 40 to know what they needed to do. Apart from that the piece from Mercedes was 51. The crazy thing is that they told me I had to pay hour and a half to change it. I was waiting there and when I dropped the car they were with another car to be finished. The thing is that they over charged me. When the guy came he had checked the whole car when I had an appointment in another garage next Saturday and they had just to change that piece. They made me pay the hour and a half when they really needed 30 min to be changed. The result is that I paid 217 pounds to change a piece from the inside door. They think that they cheat you. We are not idiot
Quick and easy. They repair my misfire Peugeot for a couple of days for reasonable price. Thanks
I took my car here simply to have the air con repaired (I wasn't sure if it needed re-gassing or a leak fixing as well). They called me up to say I would need to pay extra to have a leak fixed, which I agreed to. I could only get there to collect my car after work, so it was just as they were closing. When I drove off, there was an unhealthy-sounding humming noise coming from the bonnet. I assumed it would be the air con fan or something that may have been altered, and (quite stupidly) didn't actually check under the bonnet.I took the car back the next day to show them the noise, at which point we opened the bonnet and saw that the air intake tube had completely fallen off and into the fan as shown in the pictures. The noise had been the fan gradually grinding down the tube. I can only assume that the tube must have had some kind of loose connection, and a mechanic accidentally knocked it off while doing the air con work. They first of all denied that this damage was done by them - even though it only started happening immediately after I left their garage. Then they simply said it didn't matter - that I could just use it as is, and they fixed the tube back in with a screw. They refused to give any refund this time round. After a couple of days the air con also stopped working, so I went back there to see if they could either fix it properly or give me a refund, however instead I was told that there is a leak and the entire radiator would need replacing in order to fix it. Again I was refused any kind of refund, even though at this stage I've not only not had my air con repaired, but I've also had my car more damaged then when I originally took it in (and just to top it off I was charged extra for "fixing a leak" which was clearly never fixed). Also seems unprofessional that a completely different conclusion has now been made about the air con then the initial fix - why wasn't I told about this radiator issue the first time round? After being refused a refund by the member of staff behind the desk, I asked him to call the manager. The member of staff showed no signs of caring at all, and I could hear him telling the manager some of the details of what had happened, but not properly explaining everything. After the call he told me I could have a 50% refund for just the base air con fix (not even including the additional cost I paid to have the "leak fixed"). I was outraged but he refused to call the manager again, so that's how I've left it.So to summarize, I've paid to not have my air con fixed, to have my air intake tube broken (but is "fine to drive"...), and above all I've paid to have this happen to my car... Not to mention I've had to go to this garage 6 times (collecting and dropping off), and waste a lot of time speaking to various members of staff.I will 100% avoid this garage, and would massively encourage others to do the same.
I've taken my car to this garage a few times over the past 3 years after they were recommended by the RAC to me. I have found them straightforward, honest upfront pricing, helpful professional staff. None of the patronising, indifferent, sometimes aggressive staff you get at some garages.
