Mismanagement from the very top, single-minded focus on SATS results, high staff turnover and non-existing anti-bullying protocols have resulted in chaos. Over the space of one year FOUR (!) children from one class left the school traumatised due to ongoing bullying, leaving their families alone to pick up the mess. Send your child somewhere else if you can.
Absolutely brilliant school, amazing facilities including swimming lessons on site for physical education and a pupil kitchen for cooking lessons. The staff are caring and supportive of all children, the headmistress goes above and beyond for her pupils and their parents. My children have been at this school for over 5 years and look forward to going to school every morning. The school has so many staff they never need to bring in a outside substitute teacher.
An excellent school with great facilities, enthusiastic and caring teachers! My children have developed their skills, learn to work independently and as part of a team, made many friends along their way and they are happy, confident and resilient!
Used to be a good school. There are no enough staff and the top managment arent qualified enough to run such a big school. Lots of lies to cover their mistakes. Bullying are a big issue there. 3 kids from year 5 left my son's classroom in less than 2 month due to bullying issues. If the student got any special needs issues. Then definatly latchmere isn't the place for your son..they destroyed my ADD little boy's feelings.
I grew up at this school. I was horribly bullied and they didn't handle my autism properly. They completely nerfed health and safety which means your kids will never get hurt and so will never have the fun memories of bulldog and climbing trees and other fond memories you had growing up. They'll treat your special needs children with too much care (make them feel retarded I think were the words that came out of my 11 year old mouth) and so they'll either love the treatment if they're way too sensitive for school or they'll hate it if they want to go outside and learn how to play guitar or jump off stuff and do gymnastics in the playground.Long ramble short - kids love freedom and this isn't the place for that.
