Total shambles! Took out a policy but it was then cancelled a couple of days later as it "was due for renewal but I requested not to auto renew". Was then sent a link to a satisfaction survey but the link doesn't work. You can do better than this. Why trust your assets to these halfwits?
Appalling customer service, but then everything they seem to do is done as cheaply as possible so they can compete on price alone. Home emergencies cover was a classic example with South African based call centre staff doing everything possible to put you off acceding the service.
My renewal documents got lost in the post and as such my policy automatically renewed at a much higher rate without me realising until a 'your policy has renewed' email was received. This was not a good experience and a very lengthy phone call ensued to try and sort it out. However Home Protect redeemed themselves by eventually sorting it out for me and reducing the premium to an amount that made me happy to stay with them for another year.
If you read this then please take it from me Ive wasted over 2 and half hours over two days trying to speak to a member of there team. I reckon they have beaten my broadband provider and utility provider put together for hold time. If its cheap then theres the reason. Have home insurance but dont bother with trying to make a claim. Or if like hold music then this company is the one for you.
Really friendly staff, comprehensive product offered at an amazing price. Struggled to get insurance that covered subsidence in line with my mortgage company's stipulations, but Home Protect completed this for me. Would highly recommend.
