Excellent service and some of the most polite and helpful guys I have ever come across. They dropped the car off to us in no time after our car broke down. We managed to lose the keys and they replaced them within 24 hours. Pick up on return was prompt and again very polite. Great service.
Update 20180929 (5 stars):Enterprise have certainly redeemed themselves in the way in which they have responded to my initial frustrating experience.Vincent and his team at Kingston have been nothing but professional and polite and delivered on all their undertakings. Happy to recommend them at 5 stars and write off my earlier experience as an unfortunate perfect storm. Original post (1 star) 20180909:I booked a vehicle online from the Kingston-Upon-Thames Branch and then tried to call the branch to arrange a pick-up. Enterprise boast about their service and state on their web site that you must call 2 hours in advance to arrange the service. I called numerous times and the phone just rang without anyone answering. I eventually called the national call centre who confirmed that they too could not get through on the phone. They eventually sent an email and requesting the branch called me which they did.When I asked the "assistant manager" for a pickup, I was told that they were short staffed and I would have to make my own way to the branch. I objected that they should have staff and he said if I had phoned the day before, they would have had someone. I informed the "assistant-manager" that the website says I only need to call 2 hours before - not the day before (he was clearly making up his own rules in the spot!) I had tried to call but no-one answered, "there must be a problem with Enterprises' phones as no one was answering" I suggested. "No, there is no problem with the phones - we are just short staffed."The call ended with the manager suggesting that I would need to make my own arrangements and catch a taxi "or something". Shocking service. False advertising that Enterprise have no intention of fulfilling.
Friendly staff, reasonable selection of cars and reasonable prices. The standard insurance excess is a bit eye-watering (GBP1, 000 per incident) but you can reduce it for an extra fee. If you're a US-based renter there's a chance your credit card will cover it so you don't need to reduce it. Easy to do business with them, rentals are based on a 24-hour period so you've got some flexibility as to when you collect and drop off. Some places may be a little cheaper but insist on working around an 8am-8am period, whereas Enterprise will let you work with some other time window.
