I went to this salon yesterday for Shellac nails, and I was very disappointed. They were first filed very roughly, without me being asked what shape I wanted them, and were left with rough edges and completely unrounded. They are all different shapes and several have pointed edges which have already been catching on things. The polish itself is also roughly applied - there are many patches on the edges missing, and several of them have bubbles and bumps. The polish also starts very high up on the nail, some of them look like they are starting to grow out already. I chose shellac polish for how long it lasts, but I know I am going to have to have this removed and changed soon due to the lack of quality.Additionally, when I went to pay, I showed my student card for a 10% discount, as clearly advertised on the door. I was told that it could not be applied as the shellac polish was 'on offer' at the moment, and that I would be charged the full price of 20. I had looked up the price on the website previously, which stated 20 as the price, with no mention of it being on offer. The price list on the desk also said this. I then asked what the full price was, to which she hesitated for a while and then answered 25, and said the price list on the desk was out of date, and that the website had the full price. This is clearly not true - 25 is not listed anywhere. I was unhappy with this, as I felt this was false advertising, and part of the reason I had chosen the shop in the first place was because of the student discount. She eventually called the manager, who didn't answer, and I had to wait around 10 minutes before being told that I could have the student discount applied. I felt like she was just trying to charge me more, and was making up what she was saying to get me to pay the higher price.I am completely unhappy with the service I received. I tried to contact them through the website, but the message function wasn't working, and there is no other method of contact.
